As of April 10, 2025, Brazil will require eVisas for US, Australian and Canadian citizens

For all Brazil travelers, it’s important to keep up to date when it comes to required travel visas to avoid hassles entering the country.  That’s why we’ve brought you important information about the new guidelines issued by the Brazilian government for Americans, Canadians and Australians planning to travel to Brazil.

If your arrival is scheduled for after April 9th, 2025, we strongly recommend applying for the eVisa in advance to prevent potential travel disruptions stemming from delays or missed connections. However, if you are from one of the three countries listed above and your trip to Brazil will happen entirely (including your return flight) before April 9, 2025, you don’t need an eVisa.

The cost of the visa will be $80.90 USD per person and will be valid for 5 years for Canadians and Australians and 10 years for Americans. Although visas have these validity periods, it’s worth remembering that you can stay in Brazil for a maximum of 90 days a year with this new visa.

You can apply for the Brazilian e-visa here.  You can also contact us if you need any assistance with your application for an eVisa or for any other visa related question for your upcoming filming and production trip to Brazil.
