BPS TEAMS UP WITH LUBRIZOL CORPORATION

Brazil Production Services recently partnered up with the Lubrizol Corporation to make images and videos to create a visual bank for the lubricant company.

Lubrizol wanted to capture photos and videos of machines, cars, trucks, motorcycles and any other type of vehicle that use their products. BPS hired models, equipment, vehicles, location permits and all kinds of production services needed for the shoot.

We got access to one of the biggest industries in Brazil - the Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN), they are the second major steel-maker company in Brazil. We also filmed all around the wonderful city of Rio de Janeiro: in the Lapa Aqueduct, Avenue of the Americas and it’s cable-stayed bridge in Barra, also filmed around Downtown Rio and Ipanema Beach. Check out some making of pictures of both production days in Rio:

In São Paulo, we filmed all over the town: Luz Train Station, Chá Overpass, Faria Lima Avenue, 9 de Julho Avenue and at the Octavio Frias de Oliveira bridge. For machines and industry equipment, we got permission to film and photograph inside the Lwart Group - they operate in used motor oil collection and re-refining and market pulp production. Below you can see some images of the two production days we had in São Paulo:

Even with some unexpected rain, the production days went pretty well in Rio and São Paulo! Our office in Los Angeles coordinated all the pre-production, we always kept in touch with our Brazil ground team during the filming, solving last minute issues and coordinating the wrap and equipment returns.

We value our clients at Brazil Production Services! We always hire the best Brazilian professionals for any kind of audiovisual production. No matter how challenging the project might seem, BPS is always with it’s doors opened to face new adventures - always with safety and professionalism!

UPDATE: BPS PRODUCES SPORTS SHOOT FOR DECATHLON IN BRAZIL

“The Seed” has been released by Decathlon! Take a look at the video and photos of the Brazilian unit of the production, made possible by the BPS team!

Below, take a look at our post about the experience of helping the team with the Brazilian unit of this production.

Brazil Production Services, the #1 production fixer service in Brazil, took the Orès producing team from France to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro for a shoot for the French sports brand Decathlon.  From the manufacturer's office in São Paulo, to Avenida Paulista, passing through a favela soccer field and ending in  the waters of Grumari beach in Rio, the production accomplished traveled to several different environments in a short period of time. Curiously, some of the Brazil locations that BPS secured for the production were not meant to look like Brazil in the final video.

During our location scout for this project, our producers were given the mission of finding a boxing gym that looked like one in Ghana and a street basketball court that could exist in Iran. No doubt that the BPS team was up and ready for the task!  After a couple weeks of research, we finally found and secured the perfect locations that will surely transport audiences to the countries of Ghana and Iran.

BPS PRODUCES COMMERCIAL FOR NORWEGIAN CLIENT IN UBATUBA

A short while ago, Brazil Production Services went to the Southeast of Brazil to produce, alongside Manida Interactions, a shampoo commercial. Our client’s briefing demanded forests, trails and tropical beaches, so it was only natural that we suggested Ubatuba as an ideal location for the shoot.

A beautiful coastal area in the state of São Paulo, the Ubatuba region boasts over 100 tropical beaches that are framed by mountains and the lush green of Atlantic forests.

After initial research by our Los Angeles office, our favorite “nature” fixer (Pedro Botafogo) was dispatched on a scout to check on all the local details, locations and establish relationships with the service providers in the region before the arrival of the production team.

On the morning of the first shoot day, the team sailed on a schooner that set sail from Picinguaba on the way to the beautiful Couves Island (Ilha das Couves). They spent the entire day shooting on the island’s beaches, trails and on the sailing ship itself.

To take care and ensure impeccable work with the 6 models, BPS hired the experienced hair and make up artist Paulo Botelho and assistant Cacá Mendes.

The following days were used to shoot in other areas of Ubatuba like a local waterfall, the Sertão de Ubatumirim Bridge, and on the beautiful semi-private Portuguese Beach (accessible only during low tide) and other areas.

A small restaurant by the seaside was dressed to look like a Surf Shack so as to comply to the briefing.

New ideas came up in the midst of production and it was the local fixer’s job to assess the viability. The VW bug below was found on location and incorporated into one of our shots.

At BPS we always aim to deliver the best service combined with the best benefits for our clients. For this project, the Bananal Ecolodge - with its beautiful lodgings and service - provided the team with accommodation as well as filming locations.

After 4 days, the team said goodbye to the sun kissed Ubatuba. Until next time!
